If you’re seeking a stylish new look for your home, an interior design agency specialising in luxury residential projects has all the expertise you need.

Based in Kings Norton, blocc Interiors has built its reputation on creating perfect show homes for developers nationwide, as well as projects for private clients – and the company also boasts a large showroom where anyone can shop for beautiful furniture and accessories.

Managing director Dawn Kitchener, who has 30 years’ experience in interior design, founded the company eight years ago, and heads a team of 55 people.

“Our job is always exciting and interesting; no two days are the same,” she says. “As well as working across the UK, we cover a wide range of markets and budgets – interior design doesn’t have to be massively expensive.”

Dawn makes regular buying trips to Paris, and sources furnishings from all over the world, while also supporting UK craftspeople and suppliers as much as possible.

The store, known as No 37, features a vast array of furniture and accessories, many of which have been on display in show homes dressed by the company and are now available to purchase.

All attractively arranged by the team of stylists, you will find everything from armchairs to lighting, objets d’art to artwork, and there’s even a range of unique jewellery and clothing that’s already proving very popular.

There’s something different to see with every glance, whether you’re planning a total revamp or just want to pick out a few key items to complement your room. The stock is ever-changing, and there are plenty of one-off pieces – so if you like it, you’d better buy it!

The showroom also provides inspiration for blocc’s own stylists, who can search for the perfect elements to create a themed room dressing.

“We want all our customers to have a relaxed experience, whether they are shopping for homeware or commissioning a project,” says Dawn.

There’s plenty of comfy seating where clients can discuss ideas over tea, coffee or a glass of Prosecco, with blocc’s vast library of samples providing a wealth of ideas.

If you require some expert help in updating your home, blocc Interiors has launched some new and unusual services.

The firm’s “house doctor” scheme offers an experienced stylist visiting your home to show you how to make the most of your existing furnishings, as well as suggesting a few complementary additions.

blocc is also running a series of courses where clients can learn the basics of interior design for themselves, as well as associated skills such as furniture painting and flower arranging. These will take place in the working studio environment.

For more information, keep an eye on blocc’s Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as the website.
