The Underdogs

If you like your music live and loud, you’ll want to book your ticket for a special charity night at Kings Norton Golf Club, when local band The Underdogs will perform.

The gig takes place on Saturday March 29, as part of the Club Captain’s Charity Night in aid of Fisher House (a “home away from home” for military patients at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham).

Tickets, available from the Club bar, cost £15 to include pie and chips (chicken, ham and leek; steak and mushroom; or roasted vegetables and goat’s cheese – choice to be advised when purchasing ticket).

Food will be available from 7.30pm, before The Underdogs – described as NOT for the faint hearted! – will play from 9pm.

A raffle will also be held in aid of the Captain’s charity, for which the Club has already raised more than £2,500. The usual dress code is waived for the occasion!

The Underdogs (pictured above) are fronted by Stu Cashmore, son of Club Captain Bob Cashmore. Stu and lead guitarist Andy Goldsby are the only remaining members from their original group Indigo Sunset, whom we photographed more than 10 years ago in The Square, Alvechurch (below).
