Coun June Griffiths, chairman of Bromsgrove District Council 2010-11Alvechurch councillors now hold the top two posts at Bromsgrove after June Griffiths was elected chairman and Roger Hollingworth re-elected as leader of the district council last night.
Coun Griffiths, who lives in Bordesley and has been a councillor for 19 years, and Coun Hollingworth, of Rowney Green, are also both members of Alvechurch Parish Council.

Coun Syd CaddickTributes have been paid to a stalwart of Alvechurch Parish Council, Syd Caddick, whose sudden death has stunned colleagues. Parish councillors heard how Coun Caddick, aged 73, had been in high spirits during morning talks at the council office but later died at home.
