When Lucy and Jon Stevenson’s dog Aro (right) slipped her harness outside Alvechurch Post Office and ran away, the village rallied around to help in the search.
  After six days on the run, the Rhodesian ridgeback, who had only lived in Alvechurch for five months, was still on the run and fears were growing.
  Then, on Monday afternoon, she was spotted in the Lickey . . .

An Apple iPad and laptop were stolen from a house in Barnt Green last night.
  Burglars entered the house in Fiery Hill Road, close to the station between 6.30-7pm, causing damage put at £1,700 to a patio door.
