£3,000 golf gear raid in Rowney Green

Burglars escaped with golf equipment worth more than £3,000 in an overnight raid in Rowney Green, Alvechurch.

They took the golf gear along with a Karcher pressure washer and a rechargeable power drill from the garage of the house in Rowney Green Lane.

Police said it happened between 6pm on Thursday 8 April and 6.45pm on Friday 9 April.

The stolen golf equipment included a PowaKaddy electric golf trolley, a full set of left-handed Taylor Made woods, some Nike irons, a red and white Titleist golf bag, a black Nike golf umbrella as well as a Ping putter, which is 20-years-old and described as a collector’s item.

A police spokesman said: “These are distinctive items that mean a lot to the owner and we are appealing to anyone with information relating to the burglary or the current whereabouts of these items to get in touch.”
