Bromsgrove Concerts is proud to announce its 50th season of live chamber music.

Founded under the name Bromsgrove Concert Club in 1963 with a concert at Bromsgrove School, the group is still flourishing, thanks to a core of attendees who make regular donations and grants from local organisations.

The early concerts featured artists like Nigel Kennedy and the Kings Singers, while today established artists such as pianist Leon McCawley and singer James Rutherford are happy to perform at Bromsgrove.

The programme planners encourage performers to mix the classical and established with the less well known and the new, and this season has everything from string quartets performing the classic masters to music from living composers.

All concerts take place on Friday evenings at Artrix, Bromsgrove’s own Arts Centre, starting on September 28 with the Carducci Quartet playing Haydn, Webern, Arlene Sierra and Beethoven.

Full details of all the concerts are at, or call Janet Upward, Chairman, on 0121 709 0591 or 07712 157632.
