Police are appealing for information after reports of damage to several vehicles in the Barnt Green area over the last few weeks.

Local Policing Officer for Rubery, PC Tim Burling said: “We’ve had reports that cars in Hewell Road, Station Approach and other roads in Barnt Green have had paintwork scratched over recent weeks and we are appealing to anyone with information about these incidents to pass this on to police as soon as they can.

“We are also urging anyone else who has experienced problems of this nature in the Barnt Green area to make sure they make police aware.”

He reassured local residents that police patrols in key locations were being stepped up while investigations continue and he encouraged anyone noticing any suspicious activity around parked cars to pass this on to police, ideally as they see it happening.

Anyone with information can contact PC Burling at Rubery police station on 0300 333 3000 (quoting incidents 166-S-220310, 586-S-280310 or 381-S-270310) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
