Costumes and crowns

Pupils at St Andrew’s First School in Barnt Green marked the Queen’s birthday as well as their own 90th anniversary – they are the only church school in the country to have been founded in the year of the Queen’s birth.

The children enjoyed a crown-making competition, Charleston dancing, a picnic, and learning about life in the 1920s – and some even turned up in period costume.
