Residential care home Burcot Grange has been rewarded for its outstanding dedication to health and safety, receiving a prestigious Gold Award from health and safety consultants Peninsula Business Services.

The award, given to companies that display the most conscientious approach to health and safety, has this year only been presented to 19 companies out of the 14,000 that use Peninsula.

It recognises the positive approach Burcot Grange and its staff have towards ensuring a safe environment, not only for staff to work, but also for its residents to live comfortably.

Many improvements have been made to the building and gardens as well as changes to procedures within the home and additional staff training.

The directors of Burcot Grange, Mark and Karen Bales, were very pleased to receive the Gold Award:

“Thanks to the commitment from all our staff and residents, we have managed to generate a more secure and comfortable environment at the Grange,” said Mark.

Pictured with the award are (from left): David Harper (maintenance); Paul Davies (gardener); Maureen Kendall (secretary/admin); Sandra Ianson (head of kitchen), and Valerie Lowe (care assistant).
