Charity ball to support Women’s Hospital

Posted on February 22 2011 at 3:32:59

A charity ball in aid of Birmingham Women’s Hospital takes place on Sat April 2 at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham, organised by Annette Welch of Rowney Green and her twin daughters Liesl Whale and Melanie Richardson.

Liesl and Melanie suffered four premature losses between them in one year, but thanks to the excellent care and reassurance they received from the hospital, they now have three thriving children each. Liesl has Jack (13), Harry (10) and George (7), and Melanie has Saskia (12), Naeve (10) and Lewis (7).

The family decided to organise the ball as a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Birmingham Women’s Hospital, and are hoping to sell lots of tickets!

The event features a three-course meal with coffee and mints, plus welcome drink and first drink with your meal, as well as a disco, live entertainment, auction and tombola. A table of 10 costs £360 or tickets can be bought at £36 each.

For further details, ring Annette on 01527 64814 or the Hospital’s Fundraising Manager, Mankit Yau, on 0121 623 6874 email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Annette and her family would like to say many thanks to all who attended or made donations to the Coffee Morning they hosted on February 10,  which raised £240 for the hospital. A special thank you to Jacqui, Celia, Betty and Felicity for their invaluable help.
