Cricket club seeks new sponsors

Alvechurch & Hopwood CC

Thanks to a relatively dry summer, Alvechurch & Hopwood Cricket Club had a very busy and on the whole successful season.

The 1st XI finished as runners-up in the Worcestershire County League (Div 3) and have been promoted, whilst the Under 15s lost in the final of the Halford Trophy, and the U12s finished third in a league of eight in the East Worcestershire League and have five players now under consideration for county trials taking place at Bromsgrove School this month.

The Club has committed a lot of resources to the development of its youth section, and currently has 60 youngsters aged from seven to 16 attending development and training sessions.

The Club wants to invest further in getting additional coaches ECB-qualified to enable the growth to continue, and move forward to ECB (English Cricket Board) Clubmark standard.

That’s why the Club would like to find local businesses keen to promote themselves in the local community, who would benefit from the great opportunity of having their brand name known by a captive audience in excess of 2,000 people, while supporting the growth of a local sports club at the same time. Sponsor packages can be tailored to meet the message a business wants to broadcast:

* An advertising board on the boundary around the main ground, visible at c45 home games in the adult leagues and 20+ in the junior section (sponsor to supply artwork, club to make the board)
* Company name and logo on junior shirts
* Opportunity to have firm advertised on the club website
* Advert in the annual fixture list (presented to all members in March)
* Use of the club facilities for one t20 game of cricket – a good client entertainment and networking opportunity
* You can also distribute any leaflets at the pre-season club open night in April
* Social membership of the club for employees of the firm and the opportunity to hire the clubhouse free of charge for your own social functions
