He has been part of the group for three years and taken part in a wide variety of performances, including playing Benny in the musical In the Heights at the REP Theatre.

Dec was involved with a National Trust Project in at Croome Court called Adam Speaks, in which BITA produced a musical piece to commemorate the work of the artist Robert Adam.

Last year the group produced their own showcase entitled Vertigo at the Blue Orange Theatre in Birmingham, in which Dec performed an original song.

Aside from BITA, he has played Jean Valjean in Les Miserables and Fagin in Oliver in productions at his school, King Edward VI Five Ways.

“I hope to study Classics and English at university, but I plan to continue with music,” says Dec, who has formed a musical partnership with a friend and aims to perform professionally at events such as weddings and parties.
