Blackwell Festival is set to be even bigger and better this year, with additional attractions for villagers to enjoy.

The 2014 event takes place on Saturday June 28 from 12 noon to 5pm, on the field on St Catherine’s Road. Highlights will include flying displays from birds of prey, maypole dancing, a bouncy castle, a Punch & Judy show, running races, and a tug of war, as well as tea and cakes provided by the WI.

This is a free event for all, although there is a charge for drinks from the popular Tardebigge Cider bar.

Whatever the weather, villagers are encouraged to bring their picnics and gazebos (set-up from 10am) and just enjoy village life.

A procession from the church to the field will start at midday – join in or cheer it on!

After the festival there’s a BBQ at Blackwell Club, open to non-members for the occasion.
