Fat-bellied flasher shock

Posted on August 13 2012 at 3:33:08

A woman riding her horse through Rowney Green was shocked to see a man with a fat belly leap from a hedge and expose himself on a Sunday lunchtime.

Now police want to hear from anyone who may have seen his silver car driving around the lanes.

It happened at 1.10pm on August 5 in Storrage Lane. Police say the woman, in her 40s, was riding her horse in a paddock when she saw a small silver hatchback car drive past slowly.

A few minutes later a man jumped out of the hedgerow and exposed himself to her. He then drove off in the silver hatchback in the direction of Icknield Street.

The man is white, about 5ft 8ins in height and is described as having a fat belly and was wearing trousers and an olive green T-shirt.

PC Andrew Freeman said: “We would like to hear from anyone who thinks they may have seen the silver hatchback in the area on Sunday. The man may have been hanging around the area and may have drawn attention if the car was parked in unusual circumstances.

“We would also ask anyone who thinks they know who he is to call us as soon as possible.”

Witnesses or anyone with information should contact PC Freeman on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident reference 145-N-050812, or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
