Festival of trees

Posted on November 02 2015 at 1:45:58

Alvechurch Baptist Church will be full of festive joy as its inaugural Christmas Tree Festival takes place.

From December 13 –19, the newly-renovated building will host trees dressed by around 18 village groups and organisations, including the Guides, the WI, Alvechurch Dramatic Society, the Library and the Crafty Ladies.

All have been asked to decorate on the theme of a Christmas carol of their choice.

During the week, the church will be open daily at various times, when specific activities such as carol singing, music performances, Christmas readings and a toddlers’ nativity will be taking place.

Entry is entirely FREE, so visitors can call in and enjoy a cup of tea as they view the trees.

Look out for the full timetable of events in next month’s magazine.

* It is not too late for other organisations to get involved – contact Meryl Hill by emailing .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or via the church post box.
