Festive delights in Finstall

If you love Christmas as much as The Village does, you’ll be delighted by a new festive charity event at Finstall Village Hall.

The Christmas Shopping Bazaar, taking place on Wednesday December 2 from 6 to 9pm, will feature lots of stalls selling gift ideas such as craft items, decorations and wreaths, scarves, homeware and cupcakes.

While visitors do their Christmas shopping, they can enjoy the sounds of the 1940s and 50s thanks to Vintage Class Singers, who will perform vintage festive music and carols.

The five-piece group, all from the Bromsgrove area, have been performing at events in the local area and far beyond since May this year, and are becoming ever more popular – they entertained thousands at the Belbroughton Scarecrow Festival, have been invited to sing at a live Remembrance broadcast from Coventry Cathedral, and have even supported Barbara Dickson.

With vintage outfits and microphones, they look and sound the part and will bring some nostalgic glamour to the Finstall event.

The Bazaar will also feature Santa’s Grotto (£3 charge), a tombola and seasonal refreshments, all helping to raise funds for Primrose Hospice, Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Royal British Legion.

The event is running in conjunction with the famous Finstall Christmas Lights, and the village hall is putting its tree up early to add extra sparkle!
