The Alvechurch Picnic in the Park is nearly here, and everyone is hoping for good weather between now and then, and on the day itself – Sunday May 27. Rain has never stopped play before!

The outline running order is:

11am: Dog Show judged by TV vet Alice Rhodes

12 noon: Grand Opening with Alice and logo competition winner Lyla, followed by an afternoon of entertainment, activities, stalls, competitions, refreshments and family fun.

5pm:  The Cricket Club is open for live music, karaoke and more family fun.

Among the day’s highlights will be animals from Dudley Zoo, activities and facepainting; photo opportunities with birds of prey; local guide dogs association, and the Go-Karting Challenge.

The organisers are grateful to all the sponsors, whose support enables all money raised at the picnic to be donated to the nominated charities.

This year, these are The Lounge and Hopwood Community Centre Park, which is raising money for local play equipment.

If you can spare an hour or two to help on the day, then fill in the form at http://www.alvechurchpicnic.org, or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
