Get creative for charity

Verity

Lickey resident Verity Smith (right) will be putting her creative side to good use this Christmas to raise money for worthy causes.

Inspired while making wreaths for friends last year, Verity had the idea of hosting workshops so that others could get into the festive spirit and make beautiful natural wreaths for their front doors – as well as helping several charities.

Verity is aiming to raise £1,000 in total, to be divided between the Brain Tumour Charity, Stroke Association and the Blue Cross Animal Sanctuary.  The workshops cost £20 per person, with all money going to charity.

All you need to do is to gather a group of friends together and provide a table large enough for a fun and festive evening.

Verity will provide all you need to make a fabulous wreath, with the participants adding the finishing touches to co-ordinate with their own decorative themes. Mince pies will also be provided!

For those who would prefer not to make their own, Verity will also be making 12” wreaths to order, for £20.

If you are interested in hosting your own event or would like to order a wreath, please get in touch by emailing .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) – or check out Verity’s Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/charity christmaswreaths
