The Weighbridge will welcome the start of summer with a Beer Festival, continuing the celebrations after it was named Redditch & Bromsgrove CAMRA Pub of the Year 2005.

A firm favourite with residents of Alvechurch and beyond, the pub’s canalside location at Alvechurch Marina makes it a great venue for relaxing in the sunshine and enjoying a top quality pint or two.

The Weighbridge, run by John and Jayne Humphries, received praise from CAMRA for its choice and quality of real ales, which include the regular Tillerman’s Tipple brewed by nearby Weatheroak Ales.
The Beer Festival will introduce a further selection of specially selected beers, perries and ciders, including a range from Wye Valley Brewery.

CAMRA was also impressed by The Weighbridge’s character, which creates the impression of a cosy, traditional pub despite the fact that it has only been operating as such for four years – until then it was a private club.

Pop along to the Festival between 11am and 11pm on Friday June 9 and Saturday June 10.
