Shotguns and rifles worth a large amount of money were stolen in a raid on a house in Barnt Green

The offenders broke into the house, believed to be in Fiery Hill Road, between 9.30am and 10.25am yesterday (26 April) and stole various makes and models of guns.

Detective Chief Inspector Steve Eccleston, of West Mercia Police, said: “These firearms were legitimately owned and stored, and they included several high value models which would be extremely attractive to collectors.

“We would like to appeal to anyone who believes they may have been offered any of these firearms for sale since they were stolen on Monday to get in touch with police at the earliest opportunity.

“Equally if you have any information at all relating to this incident, we’d urge you to share this with us.

“It is always concerning when items of this nature are stolen and we want to reassure the local community that we are doing everything we can to locate them.

“Police patrols in the immediate area have also been stepped up whilst enquiries continue.”
