Hockey U14s

Bromsgrove School’s U14 boys hockey team have been crowned Midlands Champions following a strong performance at the Midlands Finals.

Following mixed fortunes in the play-offs, Bromsgrove fought their way through to the semi final against King Edward’s School, Birmingham, winning 3–0.

They then faced Repton School in the final and battled some early pressure to achieve a counter attack goal, putting them 1–0 up at the break.

With confidence high, a goal immediately after half time gave Bromsgrove the chance to break away, and despite Repton scoring a late consolation goal, Bromsgrove hung on to become champions.

Coach Mr Langlands said: “Congratulations to the boys, who now go forward to the National Finals in April.”
