Hopwood traffic ‘progress’

Posted on September 19 2012 at 10:56:24

Alvechurch Parish Council hopes it has at last made some progress in dealing with traffic speeding through Hopwood.

At the council’s monthly meeting, chairman John Cypher lamented how, despite hosting a “highways forum” with Worcestershire highways officers and the local county councillor earlier in the year, nothing concrete had emerged.

They agreed to write to the county senior highways liaison officer Richard Clewer urging action – and within a week of the meeting received a plan of some proposed signage, particularly at the entrance to Ash Lane.

This will be discussed by the parish council and PACT at their next meetings.
