French visit postponed

Posted on February 25 2020 at 10:30:54

A visit from a group of French school students has been postponed until September due to coronavirus concerns – but organisers are still asking for host families to sign up at the ready.

For the fourth consecutive year, a school from Rennes in France was due to be visiting the area in March and April, but it is hoped that this will now take place in September.

In previous years, the school has commented on the beautiful ‘semi-rural’ area and the convenience of being close to motorways to take daily excursions to Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, Black Country Museum and many more places.

They have also enjoyed the friendly hospitality of local “hosts”, who have taken care of them during their stay.

This group of 150+ students and teachers will be revisiting the area for four days, to explore more of our heritage sites.

This is a great opportunity for hosts to exchange culture, food and language, although you do not need to be able to speak French to host. And of course, your hospitality will be financially rewarded!

Please phone or text organiser Lisa Mistry to find out more details on 07702 504495.
