The Scouting team in Barnt Green is seeking volunteers to help ensure that everyone is able to access great opportunities and activities and learn skills for life.

The 1st Barnt Green Group is hugely popular and heavily oversubscribed, so more people are needed to help with running Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to accommodate the number of youngsters keen to join the Scouting Movement.

Barnt Green has its own purpose-built Scout and Guide Centre with an adjoining field and woodland to explore, right by the stunning Lickey Hills and close to the fantastic Blackwell Court.

There are opportunities at the weekly meetings for all age groups, and roles on the Building Committee to help ensure that the community building is kept running for many years to come.

Full training and support are given, and badge activities and suggestions are mapped out to help you plan out your own programme.

For an informal chat, email Kat Crockford at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call 07867 784076. (Live outside the area? There are ten groups across the Bromsgrove District, from Hagley to Droitwich, who would all value your time – Kat will put you in touch).

Please note: Because the Group is so popular, there is currently a waiting list of young people wanting to join. Preference for spaces are offered to children of volunteers, so that the group can continue to support everyone.
