Join the Walking Buddies

Posted on December 31 2017 at 11:48:49

A new walking group was set up in Alvechurch recently by local residents Tony Brannon and Diana Ball.

The group normally meets up somewhere local and goes out on a walk every Thursday at 10.30am. They usually pop into or end their walks at a local café or pub to enjoy a drink and maybe a bite to eat.

The group’s ethos is “walk and talk” as they don’t go at a fast pace, but prefer to let participants have a chat while walking. They always try to make the walks dog-friendly.

Although walks are usually local the group does go further afield on occasion – recent walks have included Dunnage Woods, Barnt Green, Rowney Green and Earlswood Lakes.

The group are always looking for new members to join them and it is a great opportunity for people to meet old friends and make new ones.

Anybody, young or old, is more than welcome to join. Search for ALVWB on Facebook – or if you don’t do Facebook, then contact Tony via email on .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call or text him on 07763 468893.
