Lessons in fundraising

Crown Meadow First School in Alvechurch hosted a Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, attended by families and friends.

There were also stalls selling toys, games and produce, plus music from the children as they celebrated Harvest Festival.

The total raised was not known as we went to press, but it will be added to the £8,500 already raised by the school over the past few years for Macmillan.

The charity’s fundraising manager for Worcestershire visited staff to say thank you, and plans to give an assembly to pupils.

Above: Headteacher Janette Morris and Parent Liaison Officer Laura Reed collect donations with pupils Rose Lewis and Ben Williams.
