Lickey Rock burglars’ £6,500 haul

Property worth more than £6,500, including expensive camera equipment, was stolen during a burglary at Lickey Rock, Marlbrook.

It is not known how the offender got in to the house between 12.45pm and 2.15pm on Thursday (March 20) but police believe the house may have been left insecure.

Items stolen included a Apple Mac Book Pro laptop worth £700, a Dell laptop worth £350, a further Dell laptop worth £1,200, a Nikon camera worth £800, a further Nikon camera worth £900, a Lumix camera worth £400, camera lenses worth £2,100, a khaki green fabric camera bag worth £20,  and a Kobo e-reader worth £100.

Police are looking into whether the burglary is linked to the theft of a laptop from a car parked in nearby Lickey Square between 10pm on Thursday evening, 20th March, and 6am on Friday morning. A Lenovo laptop in a black laptop bag was stolen from a silver Mercedes.
