Life at the Lawns

Tea party

Residents at The Lawns care home in Alvechurch enjoyed a tea party on a sunny afternoon, with families and friends invited to join the fun.

As well as delicious refreshments created by the Lawns kitchen team, there was entertainment from dancers and Alvechurch Community Choir.

A few weeks later, the “Museum on the Move” bus from Hartlebury Museum visited The Lawns, giving residents the opportunity to learn more about local history.

The bus, which tours schools, residential homes and public events across Worcestershire, is currently running an exhibition called Made Here, featuring a large collection of locally-produced or found objects from prehistoric times right up to the recent past.

The residents really enjoyed reminiscing with museum interpreters Helen Marsh and David Jarrett, and were even able to provide extra information about some of the exhibits!
