New sergeant for Alvechurch

Posted on February 17 2009 at 11:43:18

Sgt Ben Hembry

The new local policing sergeant for Alvechurch is Ben Hembry, who has been an officer for more than 10 years.

He worked for five years with West Midlands Police before joining West Mercia, in the North Worcestershire Division, most recently serving as a local policing sergeant in Redditch South.

Sgt Hembry said: “I know from my experience in Redditch that local policing is interesting and varied and I’m looking forward to the challenges this new role will bring.

“Local policing is about hearing first hand from local people about the issues that matter to them and working within the community to help resolve them.

“I’m joining a team that has embraced local policing from the outset and I’ll look forward to working with them and our local partners over the months and years ahead.”
