Novice runners ready for Marathon

Debs and Jackie

Two mums are juggling childcare five days a week so they can train for the London Marathon and raise money for Children with Leukaemia.

Novice runners Debs White (on the left), aged 37, of Marlbrook, and Jackie Nash, aged 38, of Blackwell, are fulfilling lifelong ambitions.

They have been in training for a year already and say the charity factor keeps them focused.

Debs told The Village: “We are both lucky enough to have two healthy young children, so it made sense to do this for a charity devoted to helping seriously ill kids.

“Now we are appealing to local individuals and business to help boost our fundraising efforts.

“This can be as little as giving us a wave when you see us out training, or if you want to make a donation we’d also love to hear from you!” says Debs.
