Rhythm Time party

The local branch of Rhythm Time, a music group for babies and young children, celebrated its tenth anniversary with a fun-filled week of songs, activities and fundraising.

All classes during the anniversary week had a party atmosphere and £680 was raised for Birmingham Children’s Hospital, where franchise owner Vicky Taramasco worked prior to running Rhythm Time.

Rhythm Time’s unique music courses have been specifically written for the different age groups: babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers, based on evidence suggesting that music has a very powerful effect on pre-school children.

Vicky first set up Rhythm Time in the area in 2003, having previously worked as a Paediatric Oncology Nurse. Her love for music and passion for working with children inspired Vicky to take on the franchise, initially with just six classes but quickly expanding across the area.

The team now runs 96 classes in 22 locations across South Birmingham and North Worcestershire and goes into many nurseries, as well as working at Birmingham Children’s Hospital in the speech and language department.

Parents are invited to enjoy a free trial session before they decide whether they would like to book up for further sessions.
