Poetry on flim

Posted on October 22 2007 at 10:03:34

Following the success of their short movie Expresso, Martin Nigel Davey (left) and Kevin Powis (right) have teamed up with Birmingham Poet Laureate “Spoz” for their latest project – a film set in a doctor’s waiting room, with the whole script made up of poetry.

Local writers are encouraged to submit poems (no longer than a minute) on the theme of waiting to see the doctor – they can be funny, sad or thought-provoking, and the best ones will be included in the film. Those selected will receive full credit and be invited to the set to watch!

The film will be shown at Cannes 2009 and has already attracted some well-known actors. Send poems to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), or via The Village at the usual addresses, by the end of this year.
