Promotions at Burcot Grange

Vicky and Phil

Burcot Grange residential care home is helping to quash the misconception that young people and old don’t mix by announcing the promotion to key positions of two people (above) who have worked there since their teenage years.

Vicky Hall, aged 23, has been promoted to Head of Care, and will manage 27 members of staff, while 26-year-old Phil Tipper is now Facilities Manager, overseeing a team of 15.

Vicky is following a family tradition as her grandparents met when they worked at Burcot Grange in the 1930s when it was a convalescent home.

“My grandmother was a nursing assistant here and it is great to follow in her footsteps in the same beautiful home that she and my granddad, who was a gardener here, worked at all those years ago,” Vicky said.

Phil, now 26 and with a degree in management under his belt, first worked at Burcot Grange when he was 15, helping tend the gardens on Saturdays.
