Sheltering from the showers

Wet weather couldn’t spoil the fun at Burcot Grange’s annual Garden Party, which raised £600 for Acorns Children’s Hospice.

The residential home served up a treat for residents and their families, with traditional cream teas and a summer buffet – while live music from a jazz band kept everyone’s toes tapping.

Alison Justham, whose father Ron Tilsley is a resident, said: “We had a lovely afternoon in the beautiful Burcot Grange garden, sheltering from the rain in cosy marquees and enjoying yummy cakes and music.”
