Triplets for Blackwell family

The family

Three is the magic number for former Blackwell resident Emma Sheppard, who has given birth to triplets: Hope, Grace and Annabelle.

Emma, 33, now lives in Dubai, but grew up in Blackwell where her parents, Michael and Sylvia Hopper, still live. She attended St Andrew’s First School in Barnt Green, St Bede’s in Redditch and South Bromsgrove High.

After working as a medical secretary at the QE she decided to retrain as a teacher, and taught Performing Arts to students with learning disabilities at Hereward College in Coventry.

Emma met husband Dan – himself a twin – on a night out in Birmingham, and after falling in love at first sight, Dan asked her to go to with him to Dubai, where he works building oil rigs.

The couple got engaged within a week, married within the year and left for Dubai weeks later, where Emma worked as a TA the Dubai English Speaking School.
