Car park concern

Posted on October 03 2016 at 10:49:05

I am disappointed to read in successive editions of The Village that the car park at Alvechurch train station has still not been drained, resurfaced with Tarmac and marked with spaces, including for disabled drivers.

The evidence given at the Public Examination at Alvechurch Village Hall included the above assertion and this was incorporated in the advice provided by the Examiner to the Secretary of State for planning approval.

The planning approval was granted and must have been conditional on the above car park-related assertions.

The company may have overrun its budget, but has more than sufficient funds to fulfil its obligations before a young or infirm person is hurt in an accident due to inappropriate road parking due to the reduced capacity of the car park.

What are the local authorities doing to mandate delivery of the planned improvements?
