In Full . . .

Planning process should be clearer

Thank you for the article “How To Object” last month, but please could you make a correction?

The objection I was referring to was the building of a two-storey house in the garden of “Corner View”, Gravel Pit Lane – an agreement reached by unelected officers that drove a coach and horses through all planning guidelines and with no appeal.

It is essential that procedures are in place to ensure elected committee representatives see what is being agreed, with the opportunity of redress and appeal before formal agreement is published.

I’m proposing that in the future everyone faced with a similar situation will be advised by planners on what democratic procedure should take place as part of the proposal.
