In Full . . .

Thanks for your support

I would like to offer my warmest thanks to the residents of Hopwood who turned out to vote for me in the Alvechurch Parish Council election for our hamlet on June 19.

Despite the absence of polling cards and Ladies Day at Ascot, a good result was achieved. I am very encouraged by the result and also the many emails of congratulations that I have received, that I now have the official backing of the residents of Hopwood.

Many thanks go to the team that I have working alongside me: Pete, Adrian, Mark, Judith, Rob and Jane. A team which, I have to say, have many varied talents, from legal knowledge to website skills and very much needed relaxation techniques.

Thanks also to Tony Harris of the new Five Ways CC in Ash Lane for the very generous use of his new club facilities for our campaign. Please look to the website or join the emailing list for future get-togethers to be held there.

I look forward to getting to know my new colleagues on the parish council and working alongside them to ensure that our “Voice for Hopwood” continues to be heard.

I am encouraged that my partner on the council for Hopwood, Coun Roger Hollingworth, appreciates that the position at parish level can be a difficult one. “Banging his head against a wall,” is how he describes it, so I am confident I will have his full support to assist me in this position.

Once again, many thanks to all who voted for me. A short period of look and learn will take place, but please feel free to contact me at any time with any concerns you have.
