In Full . . .

Valley homes would be a disaster for area

Posted on May 17 2008 at 3:10:34

My wife and I were astounded to read the article in The Village (April 2008) about the possible development in the Arrow Valley.

When we came to Alvechurch in 2005, we were given to understand that the green belt land on view from our lounge was protected, and it was one of the features which persuaded us to purchase this property in Grange Lane.

I appreciate that living at this address, we have a personal stake in what happens in the Arrow Valley. But it is a part of the countryside enjoyed by all the residents of Alvechurch and Redditch, as many come here to walk along the canal and the footpaths in the vicinity.

It would be a disaster to destroy what is a lovely part of Worcestershire. The flora and fauna in the adjacent woods would be disturbed by any sizeable development.

In short, I and my wife wholeheartedly support any protest against this development, and we will be prepared to assist in any way possible, those whose role it is to initiate and maintain such a protest.
