With reference to Peter Cottrell’s letter in the Nov/Dec issue regarding litter in Alvechurch, the company I worked for was very committed to good housekeeping, encouraging competition between departments by awarding prizes every month for tidy offices etc.

In the Nov/Dec edition of The Village you quote Coun Hollingworth  - ”The main thrust of what I want to do is to ensure that the residents of the parished areas are not being taxed twice”.
