Mr Grey

Littleheath Garden Centre has tapped into the runaway success of erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey by creating a grey-themed display of products . . . complete with their very own “Mr Grey”!

Graham, one of the centre’s horticultural experts, posed as the infamous character with the selection of items, which includes garden furniture, plants and homeware.

“The book is causing quite a stir amongst a lot of ladies out there, and whether you have read it or not it is hard to avoid its attention and impact,” says Liz Fraser of Littleheath.

“Our scene has gained a lot of interest and more than a few raised smiles. Customers are stopping in their tracks and have even tried to read the books!”

Apart from the tie (which was generously donated), all the items in the scene can be bought from Littleheath. The family-run business boasts friendly and knowledgeable staff and is always looking at innovative ideas to make the centre interesting.

As well as plants and gardenware, there’s a home and gift section, aquatics department and restaurant.
