All good in the wood

Pepper Wood near Bromsgrove will soon be more accessible to all, thanks to a grant awarded to The Woodland Trust.
The charity has been given £10,000 by The Veolia Environmental Trust in order to carry out repairs to a much-used bridleway in the popular wood.
The grant, awarded through the Landfill Communities Fund, will enable the new bridleway to be surfaced, meaning it will be suitable for use by people with pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
Colourful autumn is an ideal time to visit Pepper Wood, which supports over 100 species of flowering plant, 60 bird species and as many as a third of all the Ancient Woodland Indicators found in the whole of Worcestershire.
