Posted on July 12 2013 at 10:58:25

An Alvechurch woman is leaping from a plane to raise money for her friend, Andy Perrygrove, who was seriously injured in a road accident in the village in 2004.

Amy Howkins already has pledges of £400 in sponsorship and is hoping to raise a lot more with her daredevil feat.

Amy. aged 22, said: “On August 4 I am going to do a sky dive to help raise money for Andy’s Fund, which is very important to me.
“In December 2004, Andy was hit by a van after getting off the school bus. He was taken to hospital and remained there for more than six months.

“He has severe brain injuries which affect his movement, speech and sight and he needs someone to care for him 24 hours a day.

“Andy’s Fund was set up in 2005 to help raise money to support Andy in his day to day life. I am hoping to raise lots of money for Andy, and would love it if you could sponsor me.”
