Parish ‘approves’ Uplands plan

Lickey & Blackwell Parish Council has expressed approval for the proposed changes at The Uplands in Blackwell, as reported in the last issue of The Village.
Council chairwoman and planning committee member Jill Harvey told colleagues they were aware the plan was “controversial”, but added: “On the whole we felt that because of the benefits of what they were doing to The Uplands buildings, we were willing to offset the fact that the dementia unit was going to be built on the Green Belt.”
