Ergul aims for talent show win

A young musician from Barnt Green is hoping to gain a place in the final of a national competition.
Ergul Opal (left), daughter of the owner of Peter’s Pan fish and chip shop in the village, impressed the judges in her audition for Open Mic UK and made it through to the live Regional Finals at Birmingham’s NEC.
Ergul will perform in front of a large audience and a professional judging panel in the hope of earning a place in the National Final at the O2 in London.
Open Mic UK searches for the UK’s best singers, songwriters, rappers and vocalists of all genres, and the eventual winner will be offered a recording contract.
