Landowners warned over travellers

Posted on June 27 2016 at 10:21:26

Alvechurch Parish Council is urging village landowners to take precautions to prevent incursions by groups of travellers over the summer.

After the council enlisted the help of police in moving a group from fields behind Hopwood Court residential home last month, parish chairman Andy Humphries said:

“Travellers are going to come to Alvechurch with it being next to the M42. We all need to be vigilant.”

He said they would contact Alvechurch Cricket Club after a member of the public said travellers may have been looking around its site.
