Logo plea to all ages

Posted on January 30 2017 at 3:40:34

This month sees the launch of the latest Alvechurch Picnic in the Park logo competition – and this year it is open to all residents of Alvechurch parish, not just schoolchildren.

There is no specific theme for the logo; organisers just want to see something that represents the event.

Logos must include the words “Picnic in the Park 2017” and fit within a 12 x 12cm box, remembering that it will be reduced and reproduced.

Entry forms with further guidance can be collected from Alvechurch Library and The Lounge, or downloaded from the Alvechurch Parish Picnic in the Park Facebook page. The closing date for entries is Friday February 24, when all entries will be collected from the above venues.

If you haven’t already got the new date in your diary, it’s Sunday May 28, having moved to the Spring Bank Holiday due to public demand.

Over the years, the Picnic has been opened by various local people. The organisers would like to build on community involvement in the planning and welcome any suggestions on who might be approached to open this year’s event.

Applications for stalls are still open; if you are a local business, charity, or community group who would like to promote your services and perhaps raise some money then you can apply using the form, which can be downloaded from the Facebook page or requested via email at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

There is no charge for charities and not-for-profit organisations, and only a small donation is asked for businesses.
