‘Super’ pupils ready for fundraising fun

Alvechurch Middle School has been awarded “Super School” status by the Comic Relief team, thanks to its fundraising efforts in previous years.
In the run-up to this year’s Red Nose Day on Friday March 24, pupils and staff will again be selling 500 red noses for the cause.
March will be quite the month for fundraising, as it’s also Wear A Hat Day in aid of Brain Tumour Research on Friday March 31. Pupils have already been raising cash in school with cake sales.
Before all that, the school is gearing up for a show-stopping event: Alvechurch Has Got Talent on Friday March 10. With free entry, this promises to be a great evening for all the family – doors open at 6pm with the first performance starting promptly at 6.30pm.
There will also be a tombola and raffle, plus refreshments, sweets and glowsticks on sale. Remember to bring donations for the fundraising buckets – money collected will help support the school.
