Thank you from Charlie

I would like to thank all those who voted for me in the recent county council election. I will do my very best to represent all residents of the Alvechurch division and fight for our fair share of resources from Worcestershire County Council.

There is little place for party politics in local government; it acts as a distraction resulting in poor representation for residents.

It is therefore fantastic news that in the forthcoming Bromsgrove District Council by-election for Alvechurch village ward, Kate Van der Plank is standing as an independent.

Kate represents all that is best in an independent; a local, committed, community-minded person who cares deeply about Alvechurch and its residents and has the track record to prove it.

Kate is raring to go and, should she be elected, will prove to be an excellent councillor.

So regardless of how you decide to vote at the national level in the general election; at the local level for Alvechurch village ward please vote for Kate – vote for an independent Alvechurch and vote for dynamic, meaningful representation.

Charlie Hotham, County Councillor for Alvechurch, District Councillor for Barnt Green & Hopwood, Vice-chair of Barnt Green Parish Council
