60 years of helping children and families

General Events

Dodford Children’s Holiday Farm, which offers disadvantaged children and families a residential experience in the countryside, celebrates its 60th birthday this year – and the Farm is marking the occasion with an Open Day and Party on Sunday July 10.

From 1pm, visitors can look at various stalls and displays, feed the animals and enter a raffle to win a kids’ quad bike. There will also be refreshments such as cream teas and cakes, and it’s a great opportunity to have a look around the Farm, which is not usually open to the general public.

All proceeds will be used to help the Farm – a registered charity – continue its work, which began in 1951 when children from Birmingham’s slums first came to stay. Today it offers children from deprived urban areas to spend time having fun in the country air and meeting farm animals for the first time!

For more information, visit http://www.dodfordfarm.co.uk or call 01527 878245. Dodford Children’s Holiday Farm is located on Warbage Lane, Dodford, Bromsgrove, B61 9BE.
